The U.S. State Department has approved a possible Foreign Military Sale (FMS) to Japan
for 32 of the latest variant AIM-120C-7 Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM).
The approval, which was announced by the US Defense Security and Cooperation Agency (DSCA)
on 19 November, includes included are containers, weapon support and support equipment,
spare and repair parts, and is valued at approximately $63 million.
According to DSCA statement, the State Department has made a determination approving
a possible Foreign Military Sale to Japan of 32 AIM-120C-7 Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles
(AMRAAM).
