実際はよく分かってないんじゃなかったか

生産ラインがStg44に切り替わったって説はあるけど
45の刻印のあるMP-40があった、とか、いや、見たことない、とか

I am yet to see an MP-40 that was made in 1945.
Never saw one made in 1945 in my life, even ones that were in museums.
You can tell what year it was made by its serial number:

Which means the weapon was built in 1944. The last MP-40’s were made in 1945
but in extremely low numbers and they looked a little different as at that point,
Nazi Germany was no longer caring about how it looked. Similar to the Gewehr 43.
In the early years, it looked good but towards the end,
the steel was not aligned and it looked like it was hastily made.
