みなさん、あちこちのファイルで設定をしているんですね。
執筆者は、めんどうなので、昔、設定したままです。

・/etc/rc.conf
　keymap="us.kbd"　※なぜかこれで動いている。

・/etc/X/xorg.conf
　InputDevice "Keyboard0" "CoreKeyboard"
　（中略）
　Section "InputDevice"
　Identifier "Keyboard0"
　Driver "kbd"

・.xinitrc
　キーボードの設定なし。

thunderbird（注）でも、US配列で入力変換されました。

※注：ctwmです。
※注：thunderbirdのアカウントを作っていないので、
　thunderbirdのHomeのSearch窓で入力変換をしました。
　もちろん、変換は、
　Wine＋ATOK＋wime＋「kinput2 -canna」です。

　久しぶりにwimeの宣伝ができました、キリッ。
