WW2時点の戦艦、下記ではマサチューセッツの例、搭載してた燃料油はC重油なんかじゃ無い
navy special fuel oil NAFS

このNAFSは5号で、何を見ても6号C重油とは別物

この時点でこれはウソ確定

>C重油は熱量が大きく水上艦の主燃料で加熱しないとポンプで吸えないし海水が混じると現在の
技術でないと分離が不可能

* NSFO (Navy special fuel oil) - Another name for no. 5 HFO
* MFO (Marine fuel oil) - Another name for no. 6 HFO

The Battleship USS Massachusetts required a lot of fuel to accomplish her mission.
With 130 individual fuel tanks, each @ 95% of capacity the ship carried an astounding 1,974,070 gallons of Navy Special Fuel Oil (NSFO) and another 50,630 gallons of diesel fuel.
Although lighter than #6 oil but much heavier than diesel, NSFO is also a thick, black residual fuel oil with a molasses-like consistency.

Navy Special Fuel Oil (NSFO) is a ship fuel, the equivalent of No. 5 heavy fuel oil that is produced by blending No. 6 fuel oil and light petroleum distillates.

Fuel oil #6 / Bunker C is a petroleum distillate fraction with a boiling point > 400 degrees F. Fuel oil No. 6 is the highest boiling fraction of the heavy distillates from petroleum.
