Ukrainian officials said the Americans didn’t seem to comprehend how attack
drones and other technology had transformed the battlefield.

Training for battle
Some of the Ukrainian soldiers thought the American trainers didn’t grasp the
scale of the conflict against a more powerful enemy. “The presence of a huge
