元アメリカ海軍作戦部長の葬儀があったそうで

It was a great honor to take part in former CNO Adm. James Holloway's funeral at the @NavalAcademy today.
Adm. Holloway served in the @USNavy for 36 years and is survived by his wife, two daughters and one grandson.

駆逐艦の砲術士官としてスリガオ沖で山城たちと撃ち合ったり戦後は飛行士として空母に乗り組んだり
第7艦隊の司令官としてラインバッカー作戦の指揮とかなかなか派手なキャリアな人だったのね
前作トップガンの技術顧問もしてたんだとか
それにしても海軍兵学校での葬儀だが式場にクリスマスツリーというのは日本人的には不思議なかんじ
