切実な願いが届くといいなあ…

For those learning Japanese
I have a request for foreigners who want to learn Japanese. Please don't learn Japanese in the Harry Potter series.
Because, the Japanese version of the Harry Potter series has many mistranslations, misuse of Japanese, and words that are no longer used.
The reason why this happened is because the person who translated the Harry Potter series into Japanese was originally an interpreter of lectures on Japanese culture, history and society.
Moreover, since she is the president of a small publishing company, there is little possibility of improving sentences with many misuses of Japanese.
In fact, the translator hasn't changed even in the recently released "new edition".

If you want to learn Japanese in literary works, please use "A Tale of Two Cities", "Lord of the Rings", "The Little Prince", "Alice in Wonderland", "The Da Vinci Code" and so on.
They have been translated by translators who can write the correct Japanese.

I also recommend that you read novels written by Japanese people. You may think it is difficult to read Japanese novels.
But, the some of the best-known novels by Soseki Natsume, Yasunari Kawabata, Kenzaburo Oe, Haruki Murakami, Keigo Higashino and others are translated into English, so please try it.

Sincerely.
