ようやく5年前のアドバイスに従っていきものイメージを活かした
いきものロックみたいなものをやってくれようとしたのかな
でも歯切れの悪いですます調はロックには向かないな
それこそ単語を並べて畳みかけるぐらいの感じにして
リズム＆ビートをしっかり刻んでいかないとノリが悪くなるぞ
あとは聴き手のご機嫌を伺うようなのも説得力がなくなるからダメだな
俺たちについてこいという感じでどんどん引っ張っていかないと
まあいきものらしく親しみやすくと思ってるのかもしれんが
変に説明的で理屈っぽい説教臭さも御法度だな
むしろ理不尽と思われるぐらいの強引さがないと
聴き手にインパクトを与えられないし印象に残らないんだよ
"Climb Every Mountain"にはそういうインパクトがあるよな
すべての山に登れなんて考えてみれば無茶苦茶だよな
"Born Free"もいきものすべてに通ずるものがあるから人の心に訴える力がある
そう言われても無理だよなと思われても強引に引っ張っていく
そこには不甲斐ない人間の現状への怒りがあってその限界を超えようとする
こういう曲がまさに究極のロックなんだよ
